Choppers and Eleanor
Reflections chopper - first day at work tomorrow! Really looking forward to it!
Construction progress
Zbrush character 'Eleanor', for fun :)
I've got a brilliant view from my apartment, working on a few speed paints and a redesign of 'Fury', the female horseman from Darksiders. Really enjoyed Darksiders II - fantastic art.

Happy New Year!
Christmas present for my family, enjoyed recreating the old comic book style from the Incredibles
Scorpion Boss - created in my spare time as a Ubi leaving present. Hopefully they make good use of it in the game I've been working on! Can't say what it is. Final image is rendered in engine, the runes are animated with an emissive offset - it looks cool!
Level art for Ubisoft - can't say what!
This is what I've started on this holiday - A current gen Cobra AH-1. I'm using it as practice for a job I really want. I've never attempted anything so realistic or hard-surface, but I'm really enjoying it. Trying to model a working rotor blade with all the parts from limited reference isn't so easy. Fingers crossed!
Plan:
Implement in Cry Engine 3 with rotor blade animation, and appropriate shaders.
Finish everything by Wednesday.

Sketches, Speedpaints and Stuff
1 hour paint-from-life of a golden ball.
Snake staff speed concepts. I like 1 and 3.
Now for my reasonably presentable sketches from the past month:
Posemaniacs practice in pen and photoshop. Still prefering the pen ones!
Currently working on some sculpts in Zbrush. Hopefully will be done by next week.
Thanks for reading!

Tigers and Ghosts
I woke up this morning thinking of a weird idea for a 'ghost' - this photoshop paint took 2 hours.
I've been painting Tigers. Starting from a photostudy, then some stylisation, then a more polished piece with some accessory ideas. Might do something else with that white one for next week...
And some comic relief ^_^

Website! And Impa!
Portfolio site is up and running at www.laurahutton.co.uk !
Please check it out if you get the time :D
My version of Impa from The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Finished with the mesh and textures. Now working on rigging and skinning to check some test animations - so far so good! Should be done by next week. I'll upload some close ups of her hands, feet and sword too.
I'm working on some cool digital paintings, and filled a few pages of the ol' sketchbook. I'll look for a scanner and hopefully get uploading soon.
Thanks for reading :)
